Daniel Bellavia (Age: 19)

Backstory: The middle child of three siblings, Danny is the son of Stella and Rogeir Bellavia. A homebody with a penchant for cooking, he was unfavorably compared to his father in his youth, with some of his peers suggesting that even his younger sister Eliza possessed more masculinity than he did. Frustrated by the taunts and jeers, Danny opted to lead his home and journeyed to Targ Wood, hoping to start a career as an adventurer to prove himself. Under the tutelage of the Samurai Berkholt Seycaster and the Beastmaster Regina Lalune, Danny learned both the basic sword talents of the Soldier as well as the ability to learn monster techniques as a Blue Mage. With both talents in hand, he established his own Clan, gathering together a group of others with nowhere to go or their own hurdles to overcome.

Writer's Notes: The first character I ever wrote for, Danny started out as a self-insert with undefined origin, but multiple abilities based on whatever game struck my fancy at the time. Seeing as that type of character became a boring godmodder-type very quickly, I decided to ground him based on my favorite Job in the series: the Blue Mage. With that done, I also decided to start injecting some human qualities into him that I could relate to, doing similarly with my other characters that followed. In the case of Danny, I understand the frustration that can come from being looked upon unfavorably for not being a jock, so I wanted to explore that kind of turmoil and see how I could make him develop from it.
